Salt Cave Opening Process Flow

Process Flow

General description

The Salt Cave (Halocomplex Aerosol Chamber) consists of a speleoclimatic chamber and a dry saline aerosol generator to simulate speleotherapy. The special salt covering on the walls and floor acts as a buffer for air moisture and helps maintain the environmental aseptic properties.

Dry sodium chloride aerosol containing particles of 0.5-5 um in size is produced in this room by a special nebulizer, the Dry Saline Diffuser; the device which pushes air containing this aerosol into the chamber. The Dry Saline Diffuser is situated in an interconnecting room and brings a flow of clean, dry air, saturated with highly dispersed negatively charged particles of sodium chloride into the therapeutic room.
This environment has stable humidity (relative air humidity 40-60%) and stable air temperature (18-24°C). These parameters create comfortable conditions for patients and promote a stable aerosol environment.

Speleotherapy vs. Halotherapy:

Speleotherapy in a salt cave or salt mine relies solely on the natural salt environment (no machine is installed). The advantages of Halotherapy (a.k.a. Salt Therapy) are the provision of a specified concentration of dry salt aerosol under controlled conditions of temperature and relative humidity, while regulating the size and speed of the dry sodium aerosol particles. The Dry Saline Diffuser controls and maintains the concentration of highly dispersed aerosol at pre-set levels, providing a concentration of dry sodium chloride between 1 to 50 mg/m³.

Quality of the air during a Halotherapy session

A stable hypoallergenic, hypobacterial environment is maintained in the therapeutic room. The assessment of the microbial contamination during a Halotherapy session proves that 1 m³ contains from 90 - 200 saprophytic microorganisms (according to WHO standards on air sterility, 1 m³ should contain less than 300 microbial bodies).

Dry Saline Diffuser medical device

The Medical Device: Dry Saline Diffuser

The Dry Saline Diffuser, which includes microprocessor controls, is used to circulate air containing dry aerosol dispersion into the chamber. The medical device guarantees full reconstruction of healing microclimate of nature salt clinics using its’ feedback concentration control mechanism.

Device is characterised by high productiveness and can be used in large rooms up to 150 m³ (10-13 people can be seated).

The size of the salt aerosol particles is preset to 0.5-5mkm. These parameters are found in the natural environments in different speleotherapy centres, which are located in natural salt caves and mines.

Fractions

Unique Features

  • High quality of generated aerosol: Effective quantity of finest particles with prevalent size of 0.5-5 mkm is created and supplied to the salt rooms’ atmosphere.
  • Technical possibilities of aerosol creation are from 1mg/ m³ to 50 mg/ m³
  • A unique special microprocessor system of aerosol and software control. It guarantees the adaptability to a wide range of external factors such as season climate variation, air exchange, number of patients, size of the room, etc. Such adaptability guarantees optimal aerosol parameters such as fractional composition, homogeneity and time of supplying salt aerosol to different rooms with different microclimate.
  • The Salt Cave supplies with each device a special laser based optical detector of salt aerosol concentration
  • Device Automatically switches the ventilation system and the lightning in the room on and off
  • The equipment completely complies with the EC Directive 93/42 ?E? for Medical Products (CE- certificate) and can be used without limits in any medical practice of any EU country.

Technical parameters

  • Power consumption: max 150W
  • Weight: 20kg (without accessory sets)
  • Dimensions: 440x640x680mm
  • Placement: In technical room (at least 2 sqm) that is adjacent to the salt chamber

The Service: Technology and training package

In order to establish a professional Salt Cave and operate it successfully on a profitable way, we also provide a package that includes technology advises during the planning / design / fitting in works and training for the operation. It helps to cut down the long and expensive learning curve.

Salt Chamber Installation with salt application

The chamber is an enclosed space of sufficient room to comfortably accommodate 10-13 patients. Walls and the floor are covered with rock salt. You will be provided a detailed technical description which type of salt can be used and what is the salt application procedure on the walls. On request our contractors can do the salt application on a very reasenable price on walls, floor and on the ceiling.

We also provide technical support for the fitting in and installation processes (e.g. insulation, air exchange and filtering system, air condition system, fibre optic lights, etc)

Training

Consultation and training at our premises is included covering the following operation areas. Please note that this know how is based on 8 years operation experience in Toronto, Canada and 6 months operation experience in London, UK:

  • Patient’s profile for marketing and PR activity (age; conditions/diagnose)
  • Clinic procedures – appointment scheduling in the clinic
  • Initial consultation with the patient
  • Patient consent and contraindication forms
  • Free Trial presentation to the client
  • Patient fees / packages / discount system
  • Traditional and online marketing (Website, Google Adwords, etc)
  • Doctor – clinic relation (fee options); Doctor’s rule at marketing and PR activity
  • Cross selling products and other services
  • Information about insurance coverage (private healthcare companies)
  • Information about time and money consuming issues and potential problem sources
